THIS IS SUPPOSE TO BE SOME NEW MODERN WORLD

Hocking The Same Old Crud was SF's first recorded album however due to R. Decline having lost the master tapes and blaming Wallace for having done so, the album was actaully released after Rock Star. The band has also claimed this was intentionally done to avoid the "sophomore slump" that plagued many bands' second release. Hocking The Same Old Crud notably contains the most guest muscians of all the SF albums with Take It Baby having the most. (Yes the band claims both albums to have the most.)

Hocking also contained several songs which would go on to become SF classics and provided an early backbone of hits that there live shows would be based on. "We're Not Going To Do What You Say (Tonight)" as well as "Nobody Loves Me" while making their first appearance here could also be found recorded for the Encore album which are far superior in both quality and muscianship. SlutFuck can still not agree on which song was written and recorded first but they do agree Nobody Loves Me, and I Don'e Understand were both done within minutes of each other.

The Hocking album was recorded in generally what is considered less than one day with many of the songs being written just before being recorded. A Casio keyboard providing the drum parts also serves as evidence that the band lacked a drummer at this stage in their career.

Hocking The Same Old Crud can not be found anymore and exists in tape format only.
